Live365 Celebrates 10 Years of Internet Broadcasting!

Live365, “Smooth Jazz and More’s” official broadcast provider, is celebrating its 10th anniversary of broadcasting over the Internet.

The company started in June, 2000 and is one of the few Internet companies to survive the dot-com collapse. Now with over 6,000 webcasts, Live365 is the world’s largest and oldest Internet broadcast network.

The network includes tiny webcasters programming to a few friends to stations programmed by famous personalities like Pat Metheny, Oprah Winfrey and Carlos Santana, and includes both commercial and public radio stations.

Live365 has been a visible and vocal advocate for the industry since the early days of Internet radio. Their fight for broadcast royalty equality in broadcasting has been essential. Live365 is also a valuable source for independent music artists to have their work exposed and discovered.

“Smooth Jazz and More” congratulates Live365 and would like to give thanks for making our dream of becoming a radio broadcaster come true.
