After a firestorm from people on both sides on the project, the group seeking to buy the St. Louis Rams has dropped Rush Limbaugh as a limited partner.
In a statement, St. Louis Blues chairman Dave Checketts said that Limbaugh’s participation had complicated the effort and the group will move forward without him. Checketts said he would have no further comment on the bidding process.
As usual, Limbaugh blames Liberals and the media for his problems and made mention of it on his radio show on Wednesday. “This is not about the NFL, it’s not about the St. Louis Rams, it’s not about me, this is about the ongoing effort by the left in this country, wherever you find them, in the media, the Democrat Party, or wherever, to destroy conservatism, to prevent the mainstreaming of anyone who is prominent as a conservative.”
Limbaugh also said on his radio show that he had been inundated with e-mails from listeners who supported him in the bid, which was expected.
Analysis – As I’ve said prior on this blog, you can do whatever you want with your money. You can say what you want. That’s what makes this country great.
But you must also be prepared to withstand the controversy of the comments you make, and not blame everyone else for what happens, which is what Limbaugh is doing.
In other words, if you can’t take the heat, get out of the stinkin’ kitchen!
