Wireless Internet Brings More To Users!

“Smooth Jazz and More” Internet radio is proud to be on the cutting edge of innovation. We were there when Live365 got started in early part of the decade.

The promise of a world where the Internet would be at your disposal using your cell phone was one that we foresaw comming. Now millions of people around the world can access our radio station using wireless Internet technology or WiMax.

WiMax which means Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access, is technology that provides wireless transmission of data using a variety of transmission modes, from point-to-multipoint links to portable and fully mobile Internet access.

Below is a diagram of how WiMax technology works.

How WiMax works.

Right now, the technology provides up to 3 Mbit/s or 3G broadband speed without the need for cables.

But there’s a company that provides the more advanced 4G technology. It’s called, Clear Internet. Clear Wireless Internet is a company that specializes on utilizing the Internet without the use of DSL or Cable.

The 4G Internet service is only available in Atlanta, Portland, Oregon; Las Vegas and selected cities in Texas, Idaho and Washington state. More states and cities will have the new technology available in years to come. Help will come from the Federal and state governments to make it happen.

Like it or not, WiMax and 4G Internet is the future, and it’s here!
