Phillies Win! Well, It’s About Time!

If there’s one thing I’d like to say about this year’s World Series, the game needs to have a complete overhaul.

Baseball should be played in warm weather! There’s no reason for a World Series to end so close to November! Next year’s 7th game of the World Series may end on November 4th! What if Colorado and Cleveland are in?

This week’s “Nor’easter” should put Major League Baseball on notice that games played in this weather is unacceptable! The Owners and the Players Union need to get together and compromise on the scheduling of future games.

If it means having less off days or starting the season earlier in warm weather cities, so be it! 30 degree weather is for football, not baseball!

With that said, congratulations go out to the Philadelphia Phillies. A team that has a century-long history of losing, now the newly crowned, champions of baseball.

This is a team that’s lost more than 10,000 games, more than any other baseball team in history. It’s hard to believe that since 1889, this is only their 2nd World Championship.

My advice, enjoy the moment Phillies fans! This day may never come again in your lifetime!
